💥 Niche Marketing + A Whole New Format

Hey Reader,

I’ve been playing with different format ideas for the newsletter because i don’t want it to be dry and boring, but I always want you to get some good out of it, no matter what industry you’re in!

Quote of the Week: "Debt is one of The Man's great tools for keeping people of color oppressed."

What I’m Enjoying: Dimensional, a personality app I've been having a lot of fun exploring. Download it, and we can compare results! I love personality tests, even if they’re not entirely accurate. I’ve enjoyed Dimensional for the last couple of weeks, and it’s FREE! https://dimensional.me Let them know @SerenAlfaro sent you.

Boast of the Week: Travonne Edwards published Social Media Consulting: Building Your Brand Online. It’s currently sitting at #1. He’s a creative at Wieden + Kennedy, an NBA analyst, a sports podcaster, a Capricorn, and one of my favorite people.

Entrepreneurship Topic: 💥 Niche Marketing💥

Niche marketing is targeting a specific audience with content that resonates with them. This type of marketing helps you build stronger relationships with customers with similar interests or goals and can help you reduce customer churn.

A quote says, ‘there’s riches in the niches.’ When you narrow your focus to a specific group of people, you can create more effective campaigns tailored to their needs and interests. This leads to higher conversion rates, lower costs per lead, and better overall outcomes – all great reasons to use niche marketing

But how do you find your niche and create content that resonates with your target audience? Here are some tips to get you started:

1. Know who your audience is and why they will care about you.

It's important to know your audience's pain points and how you can help solve them with a unique solution.

2. Be specific about what you're selling.

When it comes to niche marketing, it's important not to generalize your product or service. Instead, you want your target audience to know exactly what they're getting from you before they buy.

3. Be strategic about how you engage with the audience.

Listening to your target audience's comments and questions on social media, in comment sections of blog posts or articles, or even in emails sent directly from them can help inform future content creation.

4. Use data to inform your niche selection and audience engagement.

By collecting and analyzing data, you can identify potential niches to enter, understand what kind of content resonates with different groups within that niche, and even benchmark against companies in similar spaces who may outperform you.

5. Test, test, test!

Once you've identified your niche, the next step is to test it out on social media and community forums. Finally, determine how much value your niche has for your business and its customers.

Remember, niche marketing lets you create more targeted content for a specific audience, so you can more effectively connect with your customers and build stronger relationships.

Thanks for being here!

xoxo

Hey Reader, First—thank you. After my last email, not only did I get the kindest messages back (you know who you are 💛), but I also gained several new subscribers, which means we're almost at 100 people on this list! That number might feel small to some, but to me? It’s a reminder that showing up—even after a long pause—is always worth it. Over the last few weeks, I’ve been thinking about just how much has changed in the last five years. When I started my jewelry brand, Nueva Luxe, I had no...

Hey Reader, It's been a minute, and I know it. But in my defense—I had a baby! I know, not the best excuse for disappearing, but let me tell you, life has been a wild adjustment. Just the other day, I missed a phone call while putting my daughter to sleep and got a paragraph-long message about how I’m terrible at keeping in touch and probably ignored the call on purpose. Ouch. It’s hard not to take things personally, especially when they feel personal. But the truth is, nothing about this...

Hey Reader, Where have I been?: In my last email, I said I was back. I was back from Europe, but then I disappeared again. I owe you a massive apology for my radio silence. Life has been a rollercoaster lately, and I'm here to explain what's been up. I have exciting news to share – I'm going to be a mom! Baby is on the way, due in February, and I'm on cloud nine. Truthfully, I'm on the couch. It's a whole new adventure, and the countdown has officially begun. Over the past few months, I've...
